12 Steps to a healthy lifestyle

1. There are several elements of a healthy lifestyle: Thoughts and emotions, diet and exercise – and if you breathe well, drink enough water, sleep well, have fun and be happy yourself.

2. Take a decision and say it aloud to yourself: “I will be healthy and slim – and I will be happy with my body.” Describe what you want, on the positive way. If you put yourself negatively, it is difficult to move forward: “I will not be thick, and I would not treat my body badly.” Can you feel the difference?

3. See for yourself what you want. Create a single image of yourself as healthy and slim in the future. See it for yourself again and again.

4 Accept yourself, your body and your emotions. When you have peace with your situation, it is easier to act constructively.

5. The past is over and the future is not started yet. Practise presence in the moment. Use your senses. See, hear and feel – right now. It is reality.

6. Accept that “guidance center” is the brain. There is no refrigerator, bathroom scales, fitness bike, diet plan or supermarket shelves in charge.

7. Watch what you eat. Write it like up. Once you know your habits, you can easily switch them out with new and better. What can you do to be a little healthier today?

8. Notice when you eat without being hungry. Ask yourself what you could have done instead of eating.

9. Imagine the food in the stomach, before eating. Eat what feels good – even in the longer term. And enjoy what you eat.

10. Keep an eye on how much you move. Coming up on ½ hours each day? What can you do to move a little more today?

11. Way you each day. If you care about your weight, you also know what you weigh. So you can quickly adjust when you take a little bit on.

12. Be curious and rain that you find out it goes along. Keep experimenting, though you do not know all the answers in advance. You get no more challenges than you are able to solve.
